Bible College

Why have a Bible College?

Throughout the world, there is no shortage of seminaries, ministry schools, and Bible schools. What makes Shoreline Bible College different?

In Acts 4, Peter and John stand before the Sanhedrin. Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, declares that Jesus healed a man in question, and he states Jesus is the only way to salvation. 
 
This is what we see in verse 13 of the same chapter:
Upon Peter’s preaching the Gospel (being filled with the Holy Spirit), the Sanhedrin observe two seemingly conflicting things in their minds:
1. They beheld the boldness/frankness of Peter and John
2. They comprehended that they were both unlearned (illiterate) and untrained (idiots)
 
How do they reconcile these two observations?
They recognized/acknowledged that these men had been with Jesus
 
THEREFORE, we see that it is not one’s echelon of education or intelligence that gives authority. Rather, it is one’s proximity to Jesus that matters. This viewpoint is what makes us unique.
 
Defining success:
What does success look like for Shoreline Bible College?

1) To facilitate in one's falling deeper in love with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
2) To facilitate in the "stirring up" of one's gifts and callings, and encourage active ministry


 
Achieving success:
How are these goals achieved at Shoreline Bible College?

By reading, studying, and applying the Bible (God's Love Letter to YOU), we learn about the Lord and His character, His Truth, His desire for us, and His equipping.

For this reason, the vast majority of classes at SCCBC use the Bible as the textbook and focus on proper study methods for mining the wealth of His will.
